Bleeding Gums

Today I went back for my braces review. I was kinda looking forward to this visit cos:
  • I have a loose bracket dangling from the wire...
  • The 4 tiny wires which was supposed to be on top of my gums are now hidden beneath it i.e. the tiny wires have cut into my gums!!!
The dentist was quick in fixing the loose bracket but when it came to the removal of the tiny wires... I was given a jab... (thank god for that!). The tiny wires are now replaced with bigass wires... which is better la, else it'll cut into my gums again... scary cos once it does, it will bleed every single time I brush my teeth...

Meat Meat & More Meat

Had lunch at Connaught Garden in Cheras yesterday.

According to my colleague, this place is famous for their BBQ chicken, duck, char siew and more... And true enough, when we were there, there was already a queue outside. Lucky thing we didn't had to wait long for a table...

Here's what we ordered:

Closer look at the duck (which was really nice)!

And the "char siew"... which we replenished... (i.e. ordered 2 plates by popular demand).

All in all, it was quite a nice lunch...
A total of 8 of us went... per person, we paid ~ RM15...

Urban Walker

OWLoon's sister successfully delivered a baby boy on 22-May-09. And of all the things in the world, she said she wanted a baby stroller. Thus, OWLoon and I went to Sunway Pyramid and walked around like blind bats until we found the information counter.

It didn't occur to us that there are so many different types of strollers with so many different functionalities! We shortlisted 2 different brands; Combi and Graco cos they have some of the lightest models around. But of course, good things come at a price! All the models from both the brands cost over a thousand!!!

In the end, we selected an Orange Combi Urban Walker UR200X which cost RM1,199.

Both OWLoon and I listened earnestly when the salesperson explained the functionalities of the stroller. An hour later, OWLoon performed a demo on how to open and close the stroller while I did the demo on the rest of the functions to his sister and brother-in-law! Thank god it went well... Hehehe... :)

iPhone Apps

This is a test post from my new iPhone 3G. Spent USD1.99 buying Blog Writer earlier but the photos are too big and can't be aligned to the center. Then spent another USD2.99 buying BlogPress that can align photos, create labels and more...

So anyway... OWLoon bought me this phone last Sunday when he signed up for an iValue plan. I was rather surprised cos ahem, he thinks I spent too much on gadgets yearly. But he said he knew I wanted this phone badly so it's an early birthday present for me! :)

Since he was so sweet... I decided to get him one too. So happens my company was offering this phone to employees at a special price.

Tho' nett nett, it seemed as if I got the phone myself and he got the phone himself, it is the thoughts that count! Besides, it'll be a nice surprise! Hehe... :)

Lie Low

It’s been ages since I last updated this site. Not too long ago (after reading “The Secrets”), I made a conscious effort to record only happy, joyful moments and memories that are worth remembering in my life here… But it’s May now… and somehow, instead of improvements, I found myself sinking deeper into depression than when I first entered this year…

"Will there really be a light at the end of the tunnel?"
If you ask me now… my answer will likely be “I don’t know… but I am hopeful…”.

What else is there to do…
If everything that one does is misconstrued / misinterpreted
If everything that one says is deemed inappropriate / wrong

No wonder it is often said that when one is in direct conflict with “Tai Sui”, one should lie low…
I just wished I believed it earlier… Sigh…
In the meantime, I will strive to remind myself that life is beautiful…
