Palm Reading

I was so inspired to find out the destiny of my life after reading Dokodemo Door's blog on Palm & Face Reading that when I stumbled upon a palm reading stall at Sg. Wang earlier, I didn't hesitate to have my palm read (as you can see, I'm kinda impulsive... hehe).

So anyway... I got my palm read by this guy (dunno Mandarin and I forgot to ask him for his name... so errrr... let's just call him "Master"). His fee was pretty reasonable... RM30 for face reading and a quick check on your date of birth.

Here are some interesting stuff from the session:

Thumbs
  • The first thing that he did was to bend my thumbs
  • Apparently if your thumbs can be bent outward easily, you are a soft at heart sort of person
  • Vice versa, if yours is stiff and hard to bend, you could be stubborn like a mule
Longevity

  • The blue line here indicates your life line
  • If yours is curved all the way to your wrist... congratulations... you could possibly live a super long life (past 80 years old)
  • When he saw mine, he asked me if any of the older folks in my family lived past 80 years old and I excitedly said... ya ya... my great-great-grandma was 103 when she past away, my great-grandfather was 90+, my own grandfather was 80+
  • Of which Master calmly said: Yes... as you can see... this is usually inherited as you have an unusually long life line
The rest of the things he said after that was done rather quickly. He drew lines on my palm using a red pen and in the end, the lines were all crisscrossing one another. Although I generally remembered what he said, I couldn't really figure out which line meant what... but what I remembered most was this conversation with Master:
  • Master: Your best years to get married would be 2006, 2008 or 2009
  • Me: O_o Does that mean that if I missed those years, I'd end up being a spinster forever (I've already missed 2006 you see...)
  • Master: Not necessarily. What it means is that your "tou fa" blooms the brightest during these years and choices will be aplenty...
  • Me: Oooo...

After the entire reading, my bf scolded me for revealing my excitement esp. at that part about family members with long life. He said I should've just look skeptical all along:

  • BF: Another few more questions and you'd be barring your entire family history to him... tsk tsk tsk... how not to be cheated? (then proceeded to mumble mumble and grumble grumble)

Then out of the blue he said something that gave my heart a tug:

  • BF: Hmmm... if you're gonna live past 80... (all along looking at his own life line)... you'd be all alone if I leave first... that'll be so sad hor...
  • Me: Sheeeesh... nola... what nonsense!

Sigh... then I realised hor... I do lup lup him lor... hahahaha! And oh... Master said I'm born "crever" but must "jaga" my head wor (which is kinda true also cos I was previously hospitalized for my tension headaches).

So that's all for now and Happy Birthday everyone... Today's "Yan Yat" (or more commonly known as the "lou-sang" day). May all of us work till wind mountain water rise (lou tou fung san sui hei). Cheers!

seems like we've both inherited long lives from our ancestors. i have an unusual long life line as well. hahaha. looking at it closely i realize there's a split section. it's either i make it and continue leaving for another few decades or it'll just end there.

So happy to have such long life lines. Mine is short, and filled with crosses. It's so sweet of your bf. =D
Anyway I guess it's the 1st time u consult those "masters" so cant blame you for revealing a lot. Hehe..

This is actually my second comment for this post. The first one disappear cos when i click publish i was suddenly disconnected and when i got back here everything was gone :(

Dun think i will repeat the whole thing cos as u know my comment super long eh. No energy to retype la. So short comment la this time :P

Guys tend to be more skeptical of palm reading and fortune telling. Maybe its the feeling of being powerless to do anything about something bad predicted to happen kua. Guys like to be in control all the time :P

As ur bf mentioned, if he dies before u then u sure will be lonely lo. Actually i have tot and discussed this before with my gf. There seems to be no best solution.

If i dun wan her to be lonely after i die first then i ma have to wish that she die first? Where can??

If i dun wan her to die first then i ma very selfish wanna "close eyes" and leave her suffering all alone? We promised to be together forever eh ma!

Closest solution is to die first but that too has its flaws. If one is dying and the other is planning to follow u think the one dying will feel good meh? LIke indirectly killing the one u love the most.

And if there are kids involved even worse. U 2 die liao leave the kid suffer life without parents ar? Or take him along? Never experience life yet u wanna take away his/her life liao ah?

So complicated. No wonder there are so many family suicide in the news recently. PPl dun know how to handle their grief.

Life is a journey, enjoy the ride. If it ur turn to get off the bus, try to do it gracefully and peacefully. Ur fellow passenger in the bus will difinitely miss u but u cannot force them to follow u right? Leave peacefully and happily and teach them to enjoy their journey that still hasn't end. Show them that beside u there r still other passengers that can keep them company till u meet again when she/he gets off the bus.

Enjoy and cherish life.

Cheers :)

wils0nlai: ya... mine also has crosses along it one... plus Master said: Although you have a long life line, if u take drugs, also sure die one... i guess what's really important is how we live our lives lor...

je5sie: no ler... not my first time ler... i lurve all these forms of readings one... there was once after a reading, i told the Master to wait for me while i go to the atm to withdraw the rm500 for a cat-eyed pendant. that's why my bf said i'm easily cheated. hehe. i guess i never learn.

neil tan: oh... so touching... and yes it's so complicated that ppl usually choose to ignore the subject. i totally agree with what you said... but instead i said this to my bf: nvm... from today onwards hor... everyday i'll take a blade to cut u bit bit... then eventually the cut will become a scar and ultimately an artificial life line... then hor, we ma can live together for a very very long time lor!

Oh.....cut to make his life line longer hor? Haha.....When i was reading it guess wat came across my mind before i finish reading and realise that u meant to cut the life line?????

I tot u wanted to cut little pieces of him everyday to keep until the day comes!!!! By then u would have a whole jarful of "him" collected thru the years to accompany u thru ur final years.......

Haha, i know its sick but just wanted to share wat i tot. :P

Dun angry k? :)

my point of view, all is rubbish. lifes is in our own hand. fortune teller? palm reading? feng shui? all bull shit.

life line shows you can leave 100 years, today you go and jump down from KLCC roof top. i don't think you can continue survive and live until 100 years old.

today you ask a feng shui master how to get rich. feng shui master said : you wear a yellow cgrystal, put a golden peacock at your desk, relocate your office table to face east, then, you'll get very succesful. i don't think after i follow what feng shui master says, today i go and buy lottery can kena 1st place, tomorrow i go genting casino, can win a lot of money.

final speaking, all is bullshit. they're just 'wan sek' fellow. is depends on whether or not you willing to let them 'wan sek'.
